I recently installed Windows TT Deluxe for 2024. I receive error 404, unable to reach server, whenever attempting to check for updates.

Yes, a 404 (not 4004) "not found" error. I've been getting it for two days now. Not a great start to the tax season.
Troubleshooting update issues on Windows. Have you tried the manual update? Updates usually come out on Thursdays.
I noticed after I posted that I said 4004 rather than 404.
Nice to hear that somebody else is having hte same problem. My problem started on Saturday. I was able to do one update prior to that.
Same error with manual update.
I'm having the same problem. I've tried the hard re-install several times, the manual update, and talked to support. All to no avail. Hopefully they fix it soon.
Glad to hear I am not alone. I also spent time with support, about 2 hours worth, and we went thru the uninstall/reinstall process without success. Also tried the manual update process without success. The support person indicated that you often have to wait until there are "a significant number of people" reporting the same problem to get the attention of the tech side.
Just a side note, I was able to do an update to my 2023 TurboTax software still on my machine without a problem. I am pretty sure it is a different server but it felt good to confirm I can get out from my computer to Intuit.
I too was able to update last years 2023 software with no problem.
Oops!! Correction Windows10 and Windows11 not 2010 and 2011.
yes. Me too. Tried it all. It has to be on their end. What good is getting the software early if you can't use it.
yes have tried manual update and no help there
I have the same issue: "HTTP Server Error 404 - File not found." I tried to uninstall TT and reinstall, but the issue continues.
For those that tried uninstall/reinstall, did you download a new copy of TT or reinstall the copy you originally downloaded?
I'm using TT Home and Business.
