Yes, just tried a reinstall of a fresh download--same problem.
Off to a great start TT.
Same - Amazon - Premier download with install code. 404 on update. Re-downloaded. Reinstalled. Installed super patch. Windows 11 Pro with all updates. No blocking firewall issues. http://intuit.com added as trusted site.
All done with support on the line. They had nothing to help. Then they hung up.
Saw a post that they got the error on Windows Pro but they were able to install and update on another computer without Pro.
Thanks. I'm waiting for another call back. Do you have a reference to that post?
Found it. This user got errors on Windows 11 Pro but got it to work on another computer with Windows 10
If I am reading that post correctly, that problem is with the initial install, not the check for updates.
I am on Windows 11 Home but hopefully somehow related?

At least TT hasn't suggested "clear your browser cache", "restart your computer" or "reinstall your operating system"--all of which were TT's go to responses last year.
One possible solution is to uninstall TT 2024, download the current version (www.InstallTurboTax.com) and reinstall it EACH TIME you want to use TT. I don't know how often TT updates www.InstallTurboTax.com but you might want to give it a try. Keep track of the version and components numbers in the "About" menu item of each install.
My strong guess is that update URL embedded in the TT code is incorrect--hence page not found. The only way to fix that is to have TT users reinstall a newer version (with the correct URL) or issue a patch that users will have to install separately from TT. Given that Update is not working, it can't be fixed by updating.
Or maybe the update website is broken. But that (I think) would be relatively straightforward fix.
I ike the idea of a bad URL being imbedded in the software. As I think I was able to complete an update once, perhaps that update imbedded the bad URL? I installed on 11/20 or 11/21 and believe my suceesful update was 11/22. My version is listed as 024.000.0206 per the "About Turbotax" under "Help".
Regarding how to fix this. I suspect TT could just do a URL Forward from the "bad" URL to the correct URL behind the scenes on their side allowing the update to occur. Assuming they have fixed the URL in the latest package, it should now be correct going forward.
Regarding reinstalling all the time, accordng to the support person I worked with for about 2 hours, she says each reinstall uses up one of your 5 license counts even when done to the same machine. So careful with that approach for now.
You might be right about the number of installs, but when I reinstalled I did not need to enter a license code or register, and so I think the program recognized the existing license on my computer.
I too was able to update successfully 1 or 2 times before it started failing to update.
I retried the manual update again (https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/update-products/manually-update-turbotax...), but it didn't help.
I've been having this same issue for a while. Turbotax 2023 updates normally.
I called the customer support. I was told that I needed to install the latest version of Windows 11, which I did. It didn't help.
I just updated from the software and finally it has been fixed!
Good news!
Did you do a clean unistall / reinstall?
I did all the steps in earlier texts about clean, manual update etc., but that was a week ago. I don't think that is necessary now. Just open turbotax and select the pull down "check for updates".
