IRS says that form 8812 had an error in transferring Dependent Credit. It seems like TurboTax did make the error in transferring schedule 8812 Part I-A line 5. How do I correct this error or TurboTax calculation?
However for the tax year 2021, joint filer can claim both the Child and Dependent Care Credit (CDCTC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC). I had one under age of 5 and one above 6. So that's $6,050. for AGI at$160,730 is reduced by $600. That is $6,050. I don't understand how IRS came up with a different number.
The Dependent care Credit was $2,500.

$6050 seems correct based in what info you supplied. However, did you get any advance CTC payments and were these entered on the 8812 - could be like 1/2 the max for 2021 or $3300 if so line 28 of your 1040 would only be $2750 (the advance was based on your 2020 AGI)
what number did the IRS come up with?
If Turbo Tax made a mistake can they help?
I saw the interest and penalty online for a date in the future in July. So I called IRS agent and was told of transfer error on form 8812.
line 28 says $6,050. Is odd! I’ll wait for the actual notice.
