IRS Free File not allowing me to E-File Federal Taxes

I meet the income qualification to use the IRS Free File Program by TurboTax according to the IRS website. I inputted my income amount, but I am told that several fields in the 1040 Form with certain values causes my federal return to be ineligible for E-Filing. None of the fields they pointed out remove me from IRS Free File eligibility. I am unsure of what to do, because I would like to be able to E-File my federal returns.

There are 2 different free versions.  Turbo Tax Free Editiion and the IRS Free File.  Are you in the right one?  What isn't it letting you enter?

To qualify for the Free File website you just need to meet one of these 3 things.

AGI $39,000 or less.

Active duty military with AGI of $72,000 or less

OR qualify for EIC (earned income credit.)

In order to use the Free File program, you have to start it at a special website. Try signing in at the top right.

IRS Free File not allowing me to E-File Federal Taxes

I am in the IRS Free File - it says it in the top left corner (I also signed in the way you said to). When I am in the review section, the screen shows "Your completecheck™ to-do list" and asks me to review it. After clicking on the review button, I am informed that due to some of the lines in the 1040, I am ineligible to E-File my federal return per "IRS Rules". None of the lines contain errors nor do they cause me to violate having an AGI of $39,000 or less. And actually, one of the lines they point out for ineligibility is my AGI - which does not make any sense since it is under $39,000. I am really confused and unsure why this is happening. Any help would really be appreciated, thank you.

Sorry I don't know.  It sounds like your AGI is too high.  Maybe it's more than you think.  You should be able to preview your return and see.

Nobody in this public forum can see your tax return or knows why you cannot e-file.

Some possible reasons are in this FAQ:
