The Tubro Tax EDIT IP PEN has only 5 spaces to enter the Pen # The Pen # IS 6 charictors long!!!!!!!!

I have never been able to FILE ONLINE>>>>Fails EVERY TIME in the last 4 years !!!!!!!!

If I but in 6 numbers it tells me TOO many .

And YET the 1040 form has a place for 6 spaces I have tryed to edit the FORM and it WILL NOT take the EDIT

I have had to MAIL MY RETURN EVERY YEAR !!!

If you have a six digit IP from the IRS then you have been trying to enter in the wrong place.

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.

So to enter your IP Pin you need to go to Federal > Other Tax Situations > Other Return Info > Identity Protection Pin > Start > Yes at least one of us got an IP PIN > Enter Your 6 Digit IP Pin Here and continue to file your return. Hope this helps
