International Filing can be pretty tricky in the end. Fussing with your MY INFO to get billing and real address agreeing with each other.
I also found that AFTER paying and before filing Max Benefits wants to see a US address as well.
I think somewhere in the small print Max is only for US residents. Having paid for it, I was unable to cancel it, so I fussed with my address again and was able to file.
Maybe Turbo Tax can do a pop-up window when 'foreign country' is selected as an address to alert people to the billing problems coming up.
I'm wondering who I should comment to, alert, ask about this?

You just did. I forwarded your suggestion to my manager. Thank you.
Thank you very much.
I see it has not been updated. I have run into the exact same issues.
I did the same thing. How did you "fuss with MyInfo" and successfully file? I keep trying, but I'm in an infinite loop.
I have encountered the same problem. Can anybody tell me what to do? If I change my personal information to reflect an American address will I get a chance to change it back to my foreign address before filing?
As things stand I have completed my taxes and paid Turbox but I can't file because of Max Benefits. And simce I have already paid I can't remove Max Benefits
Some customers have reported issues paying for TurboTax fees by credit/debit card with the MAX Assist & Defend bundle selected.
Depending on the situation, they may see one or more of the following error messages.
This is caused when the MAX bundle is in the order and there are issues with the information entered in the Personal Info section. This can happen in the following situations:
This can be resolved by temporarily changing your information under Personal Info, then changing it back before filing your return. If you have a foreign address, enter the U.S. billing address for the card you're trying to use. If you have only one letter as your first name, change this to your full first name, as shown on your social security card.
If you've followed the above steps and you continue to get the error message, it can be resolved by removing the MAX Benefits from your order, which will allow you to file.
Note: If you choose to remove the MAX bundle and file, you will not be able to order it later.
I have succeeded. Yes, you must go into my info and change you US address to get past the Max Benefits screen. You will get a chance to change it back to your foreign address before actually filiing.
thanks Critter. I see you posted the instructions.
