Hi,
TT is installed on one User Account already and I need to know how to install it on a separate User Account on the same computer. I'm using another of the 5 Fed returns available.
Thank you.

Did you buy 2 programs or just want to install the same program in another user account? If you bought 2 programs you only needed to buy 1. The Desktop program can do unlimited returns and efile 5 federal for free, state efile is a separate charge. But you can only have 1 program installed on the same computer at a time. Don't know how it would work under 2 user accounts. You may have to use it in the same user account for all returns.
Here's how to activate a different version. There is a way to have 2 licenses. You don't need to install the second version just enter the License Code. Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product. Don't know what that will do or what benefit you will get. It won't allow you to efile more than 5 or get a different free state program download. You should try to efile the most complicated ones first. Maybe a simple one can use the Online Free Edition.
FYI - There are 2 different “5” things. First you can install Turbo Tax on 5 computers you own. Each installed program can do unlimited tax returns.
Then you can also efile 5 federal returns for free, the rest you can print and mail. I don’t think you can get more than 5 efiles by installing on another computer. 5 is an IRS limit.
You can't install two different personal TurboTax desktop programs for the same tax year on the same computer. It will cause software conflicts. One I TurboTax Desktop installation can be used by multiple users to prepare up to five federal returns. Or you can install the second on a different computer.
You can install a TurboTax Business Desktop program along with a personal version on the same computer..

Thanks for your time.
I've changed to Plan B: bought a Windows 11 computer.
Was asking if I could use one of the 5 filings but save it/run it from a different User Account that it was installed on.
If you installed TurboTax on another computer that you own and haven't efiled any returns yet, you'll have all five Efiles still available to you. You can install the program on as many computers that you own as you want.
