Called Intuit support yesterday. After a lot of trial and error we found that the problem was with Webroot Anywhere antivirus program. If I suspend Webroot, Turbotax 2025 runs. Once I activate Webroot, the problem returns. I tried to have Webroot allow Turbotax but no luck. Contacted Geek Squad and they were unsuccessful. I have switched to Fortect Security Suite and Turbotax works. I will contact Webroot to see if they have a work around. It would have been nice if Turbotax had a log to help identify problems.
I am following. I have the same problem. Also, my 2024 version now cannot be opened but all earlier versions can. Trying to get a live person is impossible. Not too happy.
I am having a similar problem with TurboTax 2025. I can download the program. I can try to run it and it starts extracting files. After that, the window comes up saying it wants to change things on my computer. I hit yes/ok, and nothing happens after that.
I have tried everything here to no avail

right click on the download and select Run as Administrator. Another possibility is that your computer is in S-Mode, which blocks the installation of any app not from the Microsoft Store. You can switch out of S-mode, but that change is permanent. it can't be undone.
I finally got my problem resolved. After working my way through Intuit's a.i. response algorithms, I finally reached a live person. Then after having my called cancelled by the first two, the third tech support person knew her stuff. It turned out to be a corrupted CC+ file. Once this was replaced, everything is working fine.
That sounds most promising! Can you elaborate on what a "CC+" file is? Is that part of Windows?
I have tried to run as administrator and confirmed I'm not in S Mode, still cannot get it to install.
The file that was reinstalled was "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.44.35211". That is all my feeble mind knows.
