I am attempting to resolve IND 116 01 rejection for my child who is over the age of 17 but is under the age of 24 and is a full time student. I was under the impression that is full time student status would qualify him as a dependent for my taxes, is this untrue?

The IRS rejected your tax return because you checked the box indicating that your dependent qualifies for the Child Tax Credit, but the dependent is 17 or older.
Check the date of birth for the dependent. If they are over the age of 16 they are no longer eligible for the Child Tax Credit. They are eligible for the Other Dependent credit of $500.
I need your help. I am experiencing a similar issue. The IRS keeps rejecting my return for allegedly attempting to claim a child tax credit for my 17-year-old. You can see that TurboTax appropriately checked the box for "... this person is NOT a qualifying child ..." and the credit is only $500 instead of $2000 (as it is for my 15-year-old). What box do I need to check so the IRS will accept the return? Thank you for your help!
Verify name, date of birth, tax id, and relationship. In addition, the Other Dependent Credit has income limitations.
What you are showing looks correct. I wonder if you have data stuck. Follow these steps:
Online version:
A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).
For stuck information follow these steps:
Desktop version:
File again.
If you've already gone through the steps above and still receive an error, contact the Social Security Administration (SSA) at 1-800-772-1213 to verify that their records are accurate.
Thank you for your help! I deleted the form, re-entered the dependent information, and refilled. The IRS system accepted the return.
How do you delete the form (desktop version)?
