As the title states, I received a letter from the IRS regarding my federal refund, submitted the requested documents, and then received a refund nearly double the amount that TurboTax calculated.
I paid for TurboTax Deluxe Online and would like a refund or to dispute their guarantee that I would receive my maximum refund using their service, as I believe an error occurred in their calculations. How can I contact them? Y'all have made it nigh impossible to talk to a single human being considering I've used it for many years. Will not be returning next year due to the fact that y'all have likely low-balled my return for all these years and I do not trust these services anymore.

Did you make some estimated quarterly tax payments during 2024 that you did not enter on your tax return? If the IRS had a record of some payments you forgot to enter, that could explain the higher refund. And...you got a higher refund than you expected but now you want money back from TurboTax? You can have that conversation with customer support.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
What was the error in the TurboTax calculations? What did the IRS say was wrong in your tax return? What did the IRS change in your tax return (besides the amount of the refund)?
You said you submitted documents to the IRS. What documents did they ask for? Were they documents that you did not enter in TurboTax? Did you make an error entering one or more of the documents into TurboTax? Almost all tax return errors turn out to be caused by incorrect or incomplete entries.
The TurboTax Maximum Refund Guarantee only says that you will not get a larger refund using another tax preparation method.
You can contact TurboTax by following the instructions at this link. If you are asked what you are calling about say "billing issue." Do not use the word "refund."
