In Oct 22, I went on Medicaid through Vendor Spend Down and give all my income to a nursing home where I live. Do I have to pay taxes as a Medicaid recipient?

I see no place in Turbo Tax to indicate my Medicaid status.  Also, for 2022, my nursing home and medical expenses were not enough itemize, so I'm taking the std deduction.

If your only income is social security, you do not have to file a tax return. However, if you have pensions or other income, that is still considered taxable income to you, even if it is paid directly to the nursing home, and you may owe income tax depending on your total income.  You should discuss with them how to deal with the tax bill.  Probably you should have some federal and state tax withheld from the monthly payments.
