Only $400 or less. If that is your only income for the whole year. Even if you don't have other income you pay Self Employment tax on a Net Profit of $400 or more.

Thank You! ..So anything earned above $400 would need to be reported on forms. Also would you know what forms in 2016 were needed to file for a self employed artist?
