I am still working on my 2023 return using TurboTax desktop app... but I am unable to import tax docs from my brokers websites.. When I try to import ETrade or Interactive Brokers, the app gives error that statements will be available after Feb 2025. I think by default it is asking for Tax Year 2024 data while I am still working on Tax 2023 and all the documents are available on my broker website. Can anyone help how do I tweak my turbo tax desktop app for it to download Tax 2023 docs.

So my only option is to add all transactions by hand? Is there a way to upload pdf to turbotax
).
Thanks so much for your prompt replies. I wanted to make sure I am not missing anything as I have too many transactions to type in. But lessons learned, I can't delay filing that much and this exercise will be a reminder for the next year 🙂 Will get couple of red bulls tonight and get it going! 🙂
Well even if you don’t finish and file until later you should still import any 1099 info early to be ready. They should have the import files ready by Feb 28.
Hello,
I am unable to import 2024 Tax data - it says your data is not ready. Please Try Again Later.
Should it not be ready now ? Has anyone imported IKBR data ?
usually, brokers delete the ability to import a prior year's 1099. this means you would have to enter it manually, but first call the broker to see if they will restore the file you need.
Hello Mike,
This is last year's tax I am trying to prepare not the prior years. I was able to import from Schwab/Wells Fargo but IKBR is an issue.
Regards,
Pradeep
If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.
