Why am I being charged the $34.99 fro premium that I DID NOT AGREE too?

If you chose to have your TurboTax fee deducted from your return, the state of California requires this protection, because it adds an identity protection that the state requires. If you did not choose to have your fee deducted from your return and you paid with a credit card, then this charge can be returned to you.
