If my child has filed her taxes can i claim her as a dependent?

as long as the child meets all the other requirements of being a dependent of yours -- yes.  Note that under current law there is no exemption for dependents but credits are available ( provided the requirements of each credit is met )

the reason for the question being asked  by @SweetieJean , is because if your child has already filed his/her return and not said " somebody can claim me "  then his/her return would have to be amended before  your return can claim the child === otherwise  your return would be rejected --- so please answer @SweetieJean
