Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

If I say yes to the self-employed version of turbo tax, but then change my mind before I file my taxes, do I still have to pay that fee?

I want to see if my deductions are high enough to warrant filing this way, before I agree to completely processing my taxes this way.

If you file your return with the Self Employed version, you must pay the fee for Self Employed. If you haven't paid and decide not to use it, you should be able to clear & start over in a lower priced version. You would have to re-enter all your information at that point.

You must use Self Employed if you have self employment income that must be entered on a Schedule C. Lower versions can be used of other types of income.
