If I'm going to be forced to upgrade over one additional line on my W2 that costs going to half of what the extra money I would receive is then goodbye TurboTax.

I am not upgrading to do it yourself deluxe for one additional line on my W-2 that will earn me $110 but cost me $50 to upgrade. Nice try Turbo Tax but you just lost a long time customer.

What additional line on a W-2 are you referring to?   No one can see your screen or your W-2 so we have no idea what you are upset about.

The IRS W-2 for tax year 2025 is exactly the same as the W-2 for tax year 2024.  What are you looking at?

For a small contribution to a retirement fund. Which makes a $20 difference but they expect me to pay $49 to upgrade.

If you want to avoid the retirement saver credit so that you will not need to upgrade to Deluxe, you can say in MY INFO that you were a student in 2025 and you will be disqualified for that credit and you can stay in the Free Edition.

Or...if you would like to take advantage of that credit
