To report this distribution split to different types of destination accounts you must split the Form 1099-R into two for entry into TurboTax, one for the portion rolled over to the traditional IRA and the other for the portion rolled over to the Roth IRA. Assuming that the amount rolled over to the Roth IRA was equal to or greater than the amount in box 5 of the original Form 1099-R, you would allocate the box 5 amount to the 1099-R form you create reporting the rollover to the Roth IRA.
I will try splitting the 1099 into two components - but shouldn't Turbo tax automatically handle it correctly? Sounds like a programming error.
The TurboTax developers presumably chose to require splitting the Form 1099-R due to the potential complexities of determining how to split the form under various circumstances. Because a 1099-R form that has no tax withholding is not included in the e-filing, splitting the form for entry into TurboTax will not be apparent to the IRS.
Turbotax will not accept numeric inputs in the input box for property taxes on real estate. I updated turbotax and reinstalled the program. This same issue was reported previously over the last two or three years.
What do I have to do to run the program as an administrator?

If there is already a 0 in the box for the property taxes then put your cursor in the box and double-click. This will open the Support Details window where you can delete or add information and amounts.
Otherwise if you are using one of the TurboTax desktop editions for Windows -
Save your tax return.
Close the TurboTax program
Right click on the TurboTax icon on your display screen
Click on Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Check the box Run this program as an administrator
Click on Apply and then on OK
Start the TurboTax program and see if the problem persists
Your first solution worked! Thanks.
I'm running Windows 11 Home, version 22H2, OS build 2261.1265
Not able to enter my property taxes amount. Will not accept but on other properties it allows me to enter.
The number at the top of the screen shows a tax payment due while the forms show a credit. This has already been submitted to the IRS. It showed a correct refund at the time. How can you fix this?
