I filed a return for 2020 and 2019 (my first two years ever earning income with my first jobs as a young adult). In 2022, I did not have a job at all that entire year. I have a new job now in 2023. Do I file a tax return for 2022 if I did not earn any income at all?

If you had no taxable income of any kind in 2022 then you do not have to file a 2022 tax return.
Depending on your situation you may have to file a return ( for instance if you had Health Insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace and have taken Credits toward your payments - even if you didn't you could get money back).
There could be other credits you are eligible for that could put some money in your pocket.
Thank you. I know the last few years, I was getting checks from the government for the whole covid relief money stuff. If there are more checks coming, do I not get one if I did not file any tax returns for 2022?

There are no stimulus checks for tax year 2022. The prior year stimulus funds were not taxable income so were not entered on a tax return.
Ok, the stimulus checks are confusing. So if there are no stimulus checks for 2022, I am assuming I should not expect any stimulus checks coming. Thanks
