If I Completed return, signed form, paid fee, saved file and neglected to file taxes and now cannot open Turbo Tax because updates fail. What?

When I try to open the saved tax file TurboTax insists on installing updates which cause a fatal error and I cannot pen file to submit taxes.

Yes, at this time of year, there are lots of updates, so every time you open TurboTax, you may get an update.  That is normal.  You should not get a Fatal Error, though. 

You should be able to go to the FILE section and continue to Efile, and finish your return. 

I would recommend that you Contact TurboTax Support where technical folks can help you.
