If at age 70 1/2 RMD you can contribute to a charity directly from an IRA and the amount WILL count toward your RMD requirements but NOT count toward your income, how is this amount entered on TurboTax?
For the IRA RMD part first.
You will enter the 1099R as you normally would and then if you have RMD, TurboTax will ask you more questions, and one question is the RMD being transferred to a charity. You would enter that and then you are correct in saying the income is not taxable to you for that amount.
TurboTax CD product has to be purchased each tax year and it is not updated for the following year. You would have to buy the 2018 tax year when in become available in late 2018, early 2019.
