Hello Julie,

The filing status you would use on your return would be your marital status on 12/31 of that tax year.

 

If the divorce is not final you can still file married jointly, married filing seperately or head of house if you have a qualifing child.

 

If the divorce is final you would file as single or head of house if you have a qualifing child.

 

When filing seperate or single only your yearly income gets report on the tax return
