There is no filing status of Divorced. You are Single.
Incorrect. There is a question that asks what your marital status is and "Single" and "Divorced" are both options.
Those are just Turbo Tax questions. On your IRS 1040 return Divorced is not listed. Turbo Tax asks you that at the beginning so it might ask you more questions later when you enter your income. Or it asks for people who might not know that Divorced is the same as Single.
There is not a Divorced filing status on a tax return. If you are not legally married then you file as Single.
TurboTax shows Divorced to ask a series of question to get the proper filing status.
