I was charged too after I selected free!!! My taxes was only 923.00 and I got charged $140 I applied for the classaction lawsuit against TURBOTAX this the 2nd year I was wrongly charged I file single with no dependents so my tax checks are very small and for this raggedy company to charge $140 is beyond me!!!! I'm definitely suing, you should check into it as well Google TURBOTAX class action lawsuit.

If you selected to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, there may be an additional fee for the Refund Processing Service.

You can view a breakdown of your TurboTax charges by signing in to your online return. Once you have signed in and selected to continue your return, select Tools from the My Account drop-down list in the upper right corner. In the pop-up window, select My Fees to get a breakdown of your TurboTax charges.

You can remove any add-ons before you pay by selecting:

•    Remove upgrade to Deluxe, Premier, or Home & Business

•    Remove MAX

•    Remove Refund Processing Service

•    Remove TurboTax State

•    Remove TurboTax Premium Service

•    Remove TurboTax Federal Free Edition PLUS

I was charged by TurboTax I filed 2-3-20 and had a problem and I had to verify my identity. Now TurboTax emailed me saying that they are going to charge my bank account $85..60 if I don't pay by 4-6-×0. A lawyer is asking me to get involved in a lawsuit against them.

Then this stupid automated message keeps popping up saying " you get charged for added on service" well look here automated message NOBODY ADDED ON ANYTHING BUT TURBOTAX HENSE THIS CLASSACTION LAWSUIT WE ARE ALL APPLYING FOR I HOPE WE GET BACK TRIPLE  THE AMOUNT YALL WRONGFULLY CHARGED US!!! I KNOW WHAT I PICKED AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED $140 MY TAXES WAS A MEASLY 912.00 AND YOU TOOK $140 SCREW THIS JANKY COMPANY I HOPE YALL GO BANKRUPT FOR TAKING HARD EARNED TAX PAYERS MONEY!!!!
