If you used the "Online" software...DO NOT mess around in your 2019 account.  IF you do you will destroy your 2019 tax file.

Online software users can only do what you want by creating an entirely new account/pwd, re-entering all their data, and pretending it is 2019 data  (mostly close enough for 2020, ignoring stimulus )...but you cannot print without paying  (And don't get the accounts mixed up if you do).

Desktop Software users can create as many test files as they want, starting with a copy of their current tax return, changing the data in the new files at will....or...using the internal, "What-IF" worksheet, that can use the current tax year's information....copying it to 1-to-3 other worksheet columns with a simple checkbox, and then changing the values at will using either the 2019 tax laws, or the 2020 tax laws (whatever is currently known...but could change).

Many of us consider the Desktop software to be far superior, for this and many other reasons....though you do have to make sure you keep your own back-ups off computer and safe in case your computer or disk drive crashes
