I spent $2,400 for household help. All of this expenditure was done at a location in the Philippines. Is it required to be reported and/or can it be used as a deduction?

I was living in the home, and I am 100% service-connected disabled veteran.

The assistance benefited both me, and my children.

If the expenditure was for your children you can enter in the "Child and Dependent care" topic.

1.  Under the "Deductions & Credits" tab

2.  Scroll down to "You and Your Family"

3.  Click "Show More"

4.  Find the "Child and Dependent care credit"

5.  Go through the interview there and you will see an option to select a "Foreign Provider" under the "Organization" category
