I refiled my taxes for 2022 and submitted them in mid-March via paper mail. I have not heard back yet what do I do?

If you amended your return expect 3-4 months for processing.

By "re-filed" do you mean you amended?   Or do you mean your 2022 e-file was rejected last year and you filed 2022 by mail?  Mailed returns take longer to process.   If the 2022 return you mailed was an original return, it could take about four weeks before a human opened the envelope and entered it into the system.   Once in the system, you can watch for information on the IRS refund site:

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you mean that you mailed an amended return on a Form 1040X:

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
