I received two 1099-DIV forms from the same company. In the past, I only received one. Both have almost equal amounts for box 1a and 1b. Do I add these amounts?

Both 1099-DIV were retrieved from the company's website and were together in the same pdf but besides the small difference in boxes 1a on both forms, the rest is identical.  I'm guessing this is because the dividends payment is split into two which would make sense.  Do I just add those two amounts?

the best way to figure out what to do is to review your deposits for this dividend or review the statements.   some times there are two 1099's is because some stock is held directly and other shares are held in a dividend reinvestment program
