9021– Reference Code for all math error conditions.
Note that a "math error" can occur if you make a data entry mistake, or forget to claim some income; and thus the refund amount is incorrectly calculated.. The IRS will be sending you a letter. They do not notify TT.
"How do you deal with this?"
Take a deep breath, and move on.
Be glad they did not change it to "Tax Due". Or did they??
All I see on their app is they have changed refund amount to 0.00, asked me to wait for notice or call a customer service extension. In my opinion, my tax calculation is very simple and their should not be any error. I will call IRS first thing in Monday and get more details

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if necessary for any reason.
AND, to find your AGI next year.
AND, to double check for errors or omissions after you already filed and the IRS makes changes.
More than likely the IRS became of aware of income that you did not report. But you really won't know jack squat until you get that letter from the IRS and read it. Typically it takes 3-4 weeks after the return has been accepted/altered by the IRS before you get that letter. But with the current situation there's no telling how long it may take. But the bottom line is, *DO* *NOTHING* until you have that letter physically in your hand. Otherwise, you *will* exacerbate the situation.
Thanks for your feedback, I logged into my account online and checked updated return transcript, it looks like they took my child tax credit away. Not sure why? That’s the mystery I need to solve
