I rec'd a 1099 NEC and my last name is misspelled, do I need a corrected one to be able to file my taxes?

This should not be a problem for you when you file your taxes. As long as the social security number is correct, you can file with no problems. Be sure to contact the company for next year so that your last name is spelled correctly in the future.
