I put the wrong social security number, need to change it

If you have NOT filed yet, follow these steps to fix the Social Security number:

• Log into your return and click orange Take me to my return button
• Click Personal Info tab and then Edit next to your name and correct social there

If you have already filed, your return will most likely get rejected if your Social Security number and last name do not match what the IRS has on their records. So when you get the rejection, just choose the TurboTax version you are using here below and it will provide you instructions on how to fix that Social Security number on your return, and then resubmit it.
