I purchased TT version that included one state and chose CA. 1st screen says it's $25 to efile for CA. 2nd screen asks me to pay $40. What is the discrepancy?

Be careful----that extra $40 is a "refund processing" fee.   If you choose to pay the $25 state e-file fee by having it deducted from your federal refund then you pay another extra fee on top of that.  Pay for the state e-file BEFORE you e-file by using a credit or debit card.

Thanks so much for response! I don't see any way to pay the $25 fee in advance of being asked to pay $40.

Never mind. I figured it out. Thanks for your help! (What an annoying bug/feature!)
