I paid $1600 in estimated taxes in 2024 and put this information into TurboTax, however, it is not being counted against taxes owed per the "explain my taxes." Why?

We have IRS confirmation they received the estimated payments. Why isn't TT counting the amount in its calculation of our tax owed?

Did you enter them?  They should show up on 1040 line 26.

To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to

Federal on left or at top (Personal for Home & Business)

Deductions and Credits

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
