I own a travel agency and I have contractors who I pay commission on their sales. I also book travel, so I earn commission too. Do i file a 1099 for myself too?

A turbotax rep told me to create one for myself, but then I saw this...

No, you don't issue yourself 1099.

You don't say, but I assume you are a sole proprietor who files a Schedule C to report your self-employment income. On Schedule C, you report your total income. This includes all commissions received by the business. You have an expense for commissions you paid to your contractors.  You only file a 1099-NEC for the money you paid to your contractors, not to yourself.
