How do I switch from TurboTax Online to TurboTax CD/Download?
Mail your return with your hand prepared Form 8828, Use certified mail with return receipt so you have proof the IRS received your return.
Is this available with the "basic" cd/download?
No, it isn’t. TurboTax doesn’t include form 8828 in any of its products. Please see this Help Article for more information.
You can access the instructions and form 8828 by going to: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs-search?search=8828
I was referring to the post where the other employee said to enter it on Schedule 2 line 17 and then send it via paper mail. Is the schedule 2 included in the basic cd/download as previously mentioned?
