I need to completely remove ex wife from turbo tax. We were divorced last year and the saved tax document still has her listed..i don't know how to remove her

Just change your filing status from married to single and TurboTax will delete the Personal Information about your ex-wife.

  1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
  2. On the Personal info summary, click Edit next to marital status.
  3. On the next screen, Let's confirm your marital status, click on the Single radio button and click Continue.
  4. TurboTax will remove your ex-wife's personal information.

If her W-2 information transferred from last year, you can delete it using these steps:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes > Wages & Income [In TT Self-Employed:  Personal > Personal Income > I'll choose what I work on].
  2. Under Wages and Salaries, click on the Start/Revisit box.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
  3. You will see the screen, Here's your W-2 info. [Screenshot #2]
  4. Click on the "trashcan" icon next to her information.
