If the return has already been e—filed and accepted by the IRS, you won't be able to make any changes.
If the return hasn't been filed yet, or if it was rejected by the IRS, you can correct the missing or incomplete information by going to My Info section on the Personal Info Summary page. After following the next steps:
- Sign in to your Intuit account.
- Select Fix my return.
- Select Fix it now and follow the instructions to update the info you need to.
- Click File in the left-hand menu and follow the instructions to either file electronically or file by mail.
