I must amend my federal tax return, but haven't yet filed state tax returns. Do I need to file the wrong state tax returns firstly and then file amended returns for both later? Any suggestions?

Tool: Turboxtax desktop

Situation:

---Federal tax return: I have filed my federal tax return in March by mail and printed out documents. (Because I need to file a ITIN number for my spouse). The prepaid estimated tax has been paid online.

---State tax return: I have prepaid my state tax return and extended my state tax filing to October.

Problem:

However, I received several 1065 forms and 1042-S form after April 17th, which wasn't added into the previous federal tax return.

Questions:

(1) I checked IRS online account. There is still nothing about the processing status of the federal tax return. Where or how could I check its status? Except for the online IRS tool.

(2) I am trying to file an amended tax return. However, my state tax return has not been filed. Should I file previous state tax return (without new 1065 forms and 1042) firstly and then file a new amend for both federal and state?

OR, I could log into my turbotax software and file a modified state tax return. Then changed it back and do an amended return just for Federal.

How should I do in Turbotax?

(3) Since my current federal tax return didn't show up in the IRS online account, should I wait until it shows up or I can go ahead to file a 1040X?

I appreciate your help!
