I'm going to amend last years tax return; should I file it before or after I file this years taxes?

Amending last year’s tax return is going to make me owe taxes (I got more refund than I was supposed to)  so I’m going to have to pay. I’m gonna put check inside the amended return and won’t add music composition as a line of work. In this case, there wouldn’t be any effect, right?

You will not be reporting any income, expenses or carryovers related to the music composition line of work on the 2021 Federal tax return.

So amending the 2020 Federal tax return should not affect the 2021 Federal tax return.
