I'm a student, hired by a company. They paid me as an independent contractor, but I have no business or signed any contracts, how should I file my taxes.

You have to file it as self-employment income. Even if you have no formal business, the IRS treats that kind of income as business income and you must report it as such. You can not do that with the Free version of Turbotax. You will need to upgrade to Home and Business.
