You have to file it as self-employment income. Even if you have no formal business, the IRS treats that kind of income as business income and you must report it as such. You can not do that with the Free version of Turbotax. You will need to upgrade to Home and Business.

If an Indepen- contractor have a sngle member LLC, checkmark individual, use EIN add personal and business name on W9 . Do he pay individual or business estimated taxes?
