I have two accounts. Paid for "Home and Business" download on the wrong account, because at the time it was the only way I could log into TurboTax. I need a refund, I need "Self Employed" because I need to do taxes for our small business which is a partnership. Need to issue 50/50 K-1's.
I am beyond pissed at TurboTax for their lack of clarity and absolutely terrible customer support. The phone system is awful. I actually fully understand why combining accounts is impossible. Fine, I'm over that. Please refund my $110 for "Home and Business" and I will pay for "Self Employed"
How can I make this happen?

.....They tell me I can issue K-1s with Self Employed but can't with Home and Biz
Maybe I do need TT Business! I don't know. Do you know about what version can do a complete small business ($~400K sales) with inventory turns, expenses, tools, R&D - LLC Partnership and finally issue two K-1's?
You absolutely cannot generate (and issue) K-1s with either TurboTax Self-Employed or Home & Business. You can enter information from a K-1 you received into those products but they can only be used to prepare income tax returns for individuals (e.g., Form 1040) and not for entities, such as a Form 1065 for a multi-member LLC.
As @xmasbaby0 previously wrote, you would need TurboTax Business to prepare and file Form 1065 if you have a multi-member LLC. However, if you are completely unfamiliar with pass-through entity taxation and basic accounting principles, you might be better advised to seek guidance from a tax professional.

I am very familiar with pass-through entity taxation and basic accounting principles. This is my 14th year with our business. I checked my notes, and I was misinformed by TurboTax. They led me astray or at best did not understand my question.
Regardless - Now I am getting credit for the $110 I spent on Home and BUSINESS! Phone contact with a real human, Debra, YES!!! And Thanks to all who responded,
Not sure what your issue really is... the difference between Self-Employed and Home & Business is that Self-Employed is online software and Home & Business is CD/download. They are the same and do the same things.
Did you really need to purchase TurboTax Business? That is the CD download for partnerships, C corps, S corps, and multi-member LLCs. it can only be used on a Windows computer.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

TT does not make that clear at all. They tell me I can issue K-1s with Self Employed but can't with Home and Biz

My accountant retired, and I retired from my regular job, so I have time to do my books, and so far the worst part of it is TurboTax.
I have done my personal taxes only and I had/have two accounts with an email change and such. I used the wrong one - because it's the only one TurboTax would let me log in with and of course it couldn't find my previous few years personal returns. I made the stupid mistake of paying in that account. The login issue was resolved now I can see my historical tax records (I also didn't want to manually enter it)
Thanks for the tips on calling. The automating system was worse than useless.
Someone more familiar with TT Business may be able to help. @Anonymous_ ? @Critter ?
