You may try to contact them to reissue a W-2 to you, but we cannot retrieve it for you. If you cannot get a copy from them, you will need to file Form 4852 as a replacement.
what a joke.. I am a former USPS seasonal employee...you cannot contact the Post Office..the chain of command is Local Postmaster, Postmaster General then the Vice President of the United States....there is no contacting HR as a former Employee..you need your employee ID to do anything and it is blocked once you quit. save yourself the hassle and fill out form 4852
It's still to early to be expect to have received your W-2. You cannot do anything until after Feb. 15.
No W-2. Missing w-2:
If you haven’t received your W-2, follow these four steps:
1. Contact your employer If you have not received your W-2, contact your employer to inquire if and when the W-2 was mailed. If it was mailed, it may have been returned to the employer because of an incorrect or incomplete address. After contacting the employer, allow a reasonable amount of time for them to resend or to issue the W-2.
2. Contact the IRS If you do not receive your W-2 by February 15th, contact the IRS for assistance at 800-829-1040. When you call, you must provide your name, address, city and state, including zip code, Social Security number, phone number and have the following information:
• Employer’s name, address, city and state, including zip code and phone number
• Dates of employment
• An estimate of the wages you earned, the federal income tax withheld, and when you worked for that employer during 2014. The estimate should be based on year-to-date information from your final pay stub or leave-and-earnings statement, if possible.
3. File your return You still must file your tax return or request an extension to file April 15, 2019, even if you do not receive your Form W-2. If you have not received your Form W-2 by the due date, and have completed steps 1 and 2, you may use Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. Attach Form 4852 to the return, estimating income and withholding taxes as accurately as possible. Your final pay stub is the best source of info. There may be a delay in any refund due while the information is verified.
4. File a Form 1040X if you later receive your missing W-2 after you filed your return using Form 4852, and the information may be different from what you reported on your return. If this happens, you must amend your return by filing a Form 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return

To get an actual W-2, you'll have to contact the IRS and pay for a copy. See http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc159.html
I just filed with turbo tax.. I am a former employee. I held onto my last paycheck in and I knew my YTD gross exactly and my employee ID number. turbo Tax was able to auto fill the info for me because I knew those 2 things. so if you have your last paycheck you can do it..
hey, im in the same boat, what is a 4852?
Form 4852 serves as a substitute for Forms W-2, W-2c, and 1099-R (original or corrected).
You complete it when your employer or payer hasn't issued you a Form W-2 or Form 1099-R, or the employer or payer has issued you an incorrect Form W-2 or Form 1099-R.
If you need to file a Form 4852, please see the TurboTax Help article How do I file a substitute W-2 using Form 4852? for guidance.
Since employers have only until January 31st to mail out W-2s, also see the Help article What if it's February but I still don't have my W-2? for guidance.
Returns that include Form 4852 can't be e-filed, but must be printed and mailed instead.
