I have expenses in self employment but receive W2's for. Can I clam these expenses in "self employment", when the income is listed in "W2's and other income"?

You cannot claim employee business expenses as self-employment expenses.  (It would defeat the need to itemize, and the 2% limitation on such expenses.)
