You are getting confused about two different products with similar names.

Premium is an online software program. It is not possible to use online software for a 2024 return now.

Premier is desktop download software which you use on a full PC or Mac. If you still need to prepare a 2024 return you can do so by using the download for Premier. A 2024 return cannot be e-filed; it must be filed by mail.
