I have a Friend who has an ITIN to report taxes but has 2 w-2s from different companies and each w-2 has a different social what do I do?

All you can do is contact the issuer of those W-2's for a corrected W-2. You'll need to provide the SS card or other documentation showing the correct SSN or ITIN to prove to the issuer it's wrong. Then they're required to issue a corrected one, as well as report their correction to the IRS. Until you have a correct W-2, you can not file a tax return.

I used to prepare taxes for low income people and worked with this scenario all the time. You need to have their ITIN correct on their tax return, but the data you input for W-2's need to match exactly what was on the W-2 version provided by their employer, even though they are different. The IRS sees this all the time and will ignore the fact that the SSN's are incorrect.
