I have a 1099-R form and it's asking for a Federal Payers number, which I cannot find located on here. I do have a "state/payer's state no." I'm not sure what to do?

Look near the top...they may name it differently.

"Payers TIN" or   "Federal TIN" or  "EIN",  or FEIN"

format is like.  12-3456789

The Federal Payers' number, also known as the Payers Tax Identification Number, or TIN is located in the box below the Payer's name on Form 1099-R.

It is a nine-digit number in this form: 99-9876541.

@RobertG

Depends on the 1099-R...on my Fidelity 1099-R forms, it's above the payer's address
