I have a 1099-MISC and the payer's federal identification number does not have any dashes (neither the xx-xxxxxxx format or social security format) - which do i select?

The payer's federal identification number does not have any dashes, but Turbo Tax is asking me to select a format? Which button do I select? (The recipient's identification number is formatted like a social security number.)

You select the format xxx-xx-xxx and enter the social security number with the dashes even though it has none on the form.
