I filed with Turbo Tax the extension and i have not heard anything else about it. How do i know if it was sent to the IRS?

You will receive a verification email.

It is normally between 24-48 hours, but it may take longer this week.

Don't worry, because you filed on April 15, 2019, your extension is considered timely filed.
