I filed electronically a federal extension showing no tax liability and it went through. when i went to print out the form it showed a balance due?

Exact same thing happened to me! What a terrible bug. There's no other way to see or confirm what Turbo Tax "e-filed" on my behalf. I'm hoping the PDF just has a display bug and that they didn't mistakenly tell the IRS I have an outstanding balance that I do not have. How incredibly frustrating!
