TurboTax entered my AGI from 2021 for e-filing my 2022 return. It was rejected because the IRS says the AGI entered during e-filing did not match my 2021 AGI. I logged into the IRS website and found my 2021 AGI. The only difference is that the IRS has .00 cents and TurboTax lops off the .00 in the entry field. I don't know whether the rejection is because of the missing .00 cents, but the other digits match perfectly. I did everything right, either the IRS or TurboTax messed up.
I also e-filed my state taxes and was charged $25 for this (on top of the nearly $100 I paid for TurboTax Home and Business). But my state return was ALSO rejected... the email says that it was rejected because my federal return was rejected. Now, I have to print out and mail both federal and state returns, but I'm out $25. I cannot send in the federal by mail and e-file state. Intuit should refund the $25 if the state e-filing is rejected.
